Hello from your OWSC Welfare Officer,
Who are we? Laura Brewin is our lead Welfare Officer a
What do we do? It’s our role to ensure that OWSC has all the necessary policies and procedures in place to make sure that children are safe and their welfare is taken seriously by everyone. In other words all members should feel happy and safe when they are at the club and taking part in any club activities. Being a member should be enjoyable and fun!
Sometimes though something another child or adult does may worry you and if you have any concerns you can contact us. Hopefully it will be something we can easily sort out however if any children or parents are worried that a child or children are being harmed then you can contact us and we will take these concerns seriously.
You can talk to us confidently, we will only tell other people if this is needed to keep children safe and we will always tell you what we are going to do.
You can also contact us if you would like to know more about what we do as a club to make sure that children are safeguarded.
How to contact us? Email us at this address: Safeguarding@owswimclub.org
Are we at club sessions/galas? Yes you will often see us at the club, we both have children that swim at the club and we often help out at galas. So please say hello!
