Split into Aquanauts One and Two, this is our our entry-level stage, building confidence and foundational water skills.

Skills Development (SD) is our main Junior competitive squad, split into three progressive levels: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. This squad develops key technical skills across all strokes while introducing swimmers to the demands of competitive training.

Competitive Development (formerly Skills Development Plus (SDP)) is now the final stage of the Junior competitive pathway, designed for swimmers developing further within a competitive environment and preparing for transition into the senior squads.

Swimmers who no longer wish to compete can transition to the Fitness/Non-Competitive Squad, and if their goals change later, they can re-enter the competitive stream following a conversation with the coaching team.
County Performance One and Two are for swimmers who have achieved or are on the cusp of achieving county qualifying times. These squads focus on continued technical and physical development, with the aim of reaching full county standard and beyond.
County Performance training times:

Thursday (bookable additional pool session) 7pm - 8pm
Friday 8pm - 10pm

Youth Performance is for swimmers who have achieved a range of county qualifying times, consistently meet squad expectations, and are working towards achieving Regional qualification standards. This is a high-performance training environment with increased commitment and competition goals.

Swimmers aged 18+ who are no longer training for performance will join the Masters group, which provides structured sessions focused on fitness, wellbeing, and maintaining skills.
